是一位 Irlandia 人寫的詞 , 他叫 Joseph Medicott Scriven
出生 1819 年.

他畢業的時後, 即將跟他的未婚妻結婚, 但他未婚妻發生沉輪,
而死亡, 後來他很傷心而遠離家鄉 , 到加拿大當老師. 他有時後
也到醫院關懷病人.

他很難過遠離他的母親 , 他的母親也很傷心 . 經過幾天後, 他開始
將 最好的朋友-耶穌 (耶穌恩友)為詩歌, 來向他的母親說,
將一切傷心事帶到主面前.
